The short version
- While the Story Engine is in preview it shows a sample and sends nothing to Anthropic. When live generation opens, your brief goes to our server and to Anthropic's Claude API, only to write your ad concepts.
- No account, no payment details and no sign-up on this site.
- The "Start a project" form just opens your email app. Nothing from it is stored on our server.
- We never sell customer data or use it to train AI models.
1. Who we are
This site is run by Vinay Choudhry, trading as Boldly Put, based in India ("Boldly Put", "we", "us"). We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us any time at support@boldlyput.com.
2. What we collect and why
The Story Engine (the free tool on our homepage). When you use it, you may give us:
- an optional product page URL;
- a description of what you sell;
- your chosen ad length, platform and tone.
While the Story Engine is in preview, it shows a sample storyboard, and your inputs aren't sent to Anthropic. When live generation opens, your inputs are sent to our server, which passes them to Anthropic's Claude API to generate your concepts. We use them for that purpose and nothing else. Please don't put personal information about other people, or confidential material you aren't free to share, into the brief.
If you give a URL. When live generation opens, Claude's web fetch tool will retrieve that page, and only that page, so Claude can read your brand and product. We don't crawl the rest of your site.
Contacting us. The "Start a project" form on the homepage doesn't send anything to our server. It opens your own email app with a pre-filled message addressed to us. We only receive what you choose to send from your email app, and it is handled like any other email: we use it to reply to you and to scope your project.
Technical data. We use your IP address briefly to rate-limit requests and keep the Story Engine fair and available. It is used transiently for that purpose and isn't used to build a profile of you. Our hosting provider, Vercel, also processes requests on our behalf and may keep standard operational logs.
What we don't collect. We don't ask you to create an account, and we don't take payment on this site. We don't run advertising trackers.
3. Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers we need to run the site:
- Anthropic is our AI subprocessor. Once live generation opens, we will send it your Story Engine brief for processing only, to generate your concepts.
- Vercel hosts our site and runs our server functions.
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces used on this site, so your browser makes a request to Google when a page loads.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our users or the public. We do not sell customer data, and we do not share it for advertising.
4. AI and model training
Once live generation opens, ad concepts are generated by Claude and reviewed by a person before anything goes into production. We don't use your data to train AI models. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, data sent through its API isn't used to train its models by default. Not training on data is not the same as deleting it immediately: Anthropic keeps API inputs and outputs for a limited period under its data retention policy, with longer retention in some cases, for example for safety and abuse review. See Anthropic's privacy policy and data retention documentation for details.
5. How long we keep it
We keep information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was given. Emails and project files related to a paid project are kept for the life of the project and a reasonable period afterwards, for example to handle revisions, support and our legal and accounting obligations. IP addresses used for rate limiting are used transiently. If you'd like something deleted sooner, ask us (see section 7).
6. International transfers
Our providers may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers, such as standard contractual clauses.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export the personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to complain to your local data protection authority. To use any of these rights, email support@boldlyput.com. We'll respond within a reasonable time and in line with applicable law. Because we don't have accounts, we may ask for details such as the email address you wrote from so we can find what you're asking about.
8. Cookies and local storage
We don't use advertising or analytics cookies. Your browser may store small technical items needed to make the site work. If we add analytics or similar tools in future, we'll update this policy and ask for consent where the law requires it.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, including encrypted connections and limiting what we collect in the first place. No system is perfectly secure, so please share only what you're comfortable sending.
10. Children
Boldly Put is a service for businesses and isn't directed at children under 16. We don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you think a child has sent us some, contact us and we'll delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, tell you in another way. The version on this page is the current one.
